Short: Wolf3D clone (texture mapping)
This is STL of Damage's Wolf3D clone V1.6.1
To all people who downloaded the V1.5: I am sorry for the high bug rate there
was. The main bug type was a crash immediately after the precalculating had
finished. This version will NOT crash anymore, or at least not at that point
(actually it should NEVER crash!). Guess what an embarressment after hours of
testing it on assembler, but only briefly testing the .exe versions to run
correctly. And didn't the demo just happen to come up ok! The systematic odds
for working for longer period of time than two seconds, were two to the power
of 11 to one against!
The people who actually managed to run it, here are the current advantages:
· Faster (about 0.7 fps)
· Better floor/ceiling detail
· No crashes anymore, or not at least at that point!
· Better AGA colour support, 24 bit palette used instead of 12bit (this was
extremely lame skimp from me! Now the AGA usage shows!)
· Stupid 5-hours precalculating time is now gone.
· The same exe can be switched between OCS and AGA indemo (With F10).
(This is why the .lha is 70 kB smaller!)
